Chandler-Gilbert Community College Sends 12 Players To Division I Schools
Chandler-Gilbert Community College, perennially a top-ranked baseball program in Arizona, sent all 16 of their sophomores to four-year schools with FieldLevel. Using FieldLevel’s baseball recruiting software and network of college baseball coaches, head coach Russell Luce was able to send his entire sophomore class to four-year colleges and universities. What’s more, 12 of those sophomores will be competing for Division I school such as University of San Diego, Louisiana Lafayette, Stephen F. Austin, Temple University, Ohio State, Pacific University (CA), Creighton, and North Dakota.
Head Coach Russell Luce:
“Our entire class of sophomore players have been placed. Much of the process is the first contact and with FieldLevel it is simply easier. Being able to reach out to coaching staffs across the country to start a dialog about our players is invaluable. I am happy that we use it. As a Junior College we are about placing our guys to finish their education and to continue their careers. It is happening here.”
Coach Luce and other junior college coaches have an extremely demanding job. Like every college baseball coach, junior college coaches look for the best recruits across the country. However, junior college coaches are also tasked with helping their players move on to four-year schools to continue both their baseball careers and their education. This is a tireless job requiring hard work, coach connections, networking, and communication skills. Coach Luce relies on FieldLevel to help him manage all of this:
“FieldLevel isn’t one of these services that is trying to load up on athlete profiles and extract money from them. They understand how recruiting actually works and created a way to make it better. They even came and met with me in person, listened carefully to my feedback, and quickly implemented it. Coaches and athletes alike are now seeing the benefits.”
